Hi All

We were asked what tree and bush this is...

The bush has been identified by many but all differently.... It has white flowers that smell amazing and seems to flower only once a year about May.

Interesting.  I would have said the bottom two photographs were Choisya (Mexican Orange Blossom) !

Osie - is your shrub deciduous - in which case it's Philadelphus - or evergreen, in which case it's probably Choisya !

I'd tend to agree.  Photo #2 in particular looks like a Choisa.

I would say that the leaves look very much like the Robinia.  The difference being no thorns, no flowers and our tree looks very much like a stick with a sperical lolly pop on the top.. There are no branches as such.. just lots of twigs with loads of leaves.

I found this photo on the web and the bark is pretty much identical... which makes be think that we have hit the nail on the head... I also read on the net that not all Robinia have thorns and the flowers... maybe the flowers will pop out in a few years.  I think our tree is about 3 or 4 years old.

So unless there are any other suggestions... I would say we have a match.

Thanks all
