idun
French law says that furnished property can be rented for a year, otherwise, it is three years for unfurnished. I think that people need to know what they are signing up for.Look in the on line papers like Top Annonces and Paruvendu, or local papers, or just do a search on google france for all the agencys. vette
Hi Idun.Do the 1 and 3 years you mention relate to minimum or maximum periods? Thanks.
idun
Minimum periods even entre particliers. That is the law in France, and protects those renting. I would suppose that perhaps students have different rules, and would be surprised if they didn't.
andyh4
In complete harmony with the "protect the renter" ethic, The renter can cancel the contract at any stage, the landlord cannot.
idun
C'est La France and lots of people rent.I did check up on student accommodation and that is allowed for 9 months, which is what I imagined it would be/should be.
