Jack of All
HelloCan anyone advise me as to the different types of concrete blocks and thier uses? In various building supply shops there are identical looking, or nearly identical looking, blocks that vary widley in price. I beleive that part of the diffrence is the ability to withstand presure, and I think this is acknowleged in the "B" rating, e.g., B40 or B60. There also apears to be rating such as "NF P 14", about which I have no idea, maybe it's moisture or weather resistance?Any knowledge shared on that would be greatly appriciated.Another thing I am trying to identify in the shops is an engineering brick or equivilent. I'm installing some heavily loaded RSJs and would like to rest them engineering brick pads. Anyone know what to ask for? Thanks

Jack of All
Thank you for that. The title "Classes de parpaing : définition et propriétés" suggests it has the answer to my question, but all I read is that the higher the classification (with no reference to how that is presented) the heavier the load.Or have I missed something? It wouldn't be the first time.
