Jon 1
I note from my 'whole life' assurance policies that there is a clause which seems to exclude residence outwith the UK.What did those of you who moved to France do regarding this problem? Did you let the policy lapse and simply obtain French life assurance? If so was it easy to obtain and how did the cost compare? Have been paying for decades and believe that starting afresh may be more expensive and a hassle going over your medical history etc!
Baz
Jon,Firstly, never stop or lapse a policy before being accepted for a new policy. Not knowing the policy you have got,it is possible if it has a waiver of premium clause attached that this part may be excluded by leaving the UK. However, it would be very unusual if your whole of life policy would be made void by moving to France. Check first with the Assurance Company as hopefully you will not have a problem.Baz
