Paul Gandy
Hello thereI am renovating just like everyone else out here in France. We are due to finish work and open some cottages for rent in 2004. I am doing all the work myself at the moment. I was wondering about taking a small mortgage employing someone and doing the work earlier and opening this year. We are mortgage free at the moment. I was wondering weather anyone had any dealings with the french banks and how they veiwed these type of projects. We have zero income at the moment but are financially sound til our proposed opening in 2004.Also are there mortgage companies in France or are all the mortgages done through banks?Any thoughts would be appreciated...Phil...pondering alternative ideas... Teamedup
Zero income! You can only ask, but as the law says that you cannot have more than a third of your income as a debt, and you have no income, I don't know what they will say. As far as I can tell they don't really seem to take into account one's 'patrimoine'.
