Juswundrin
HelloDoes anyone have one of these and care to recommend it, or warn me off? I'd not heard of them before, but I just got a new leaflet of charges from La Poste and it's mentioned there. It's apparently an ATM card, completely free (surely not?) if you use it only for withdrawals from La Poste machines.(Must admit I've never actually noticed a branch with a machine outside, but I thought it might be useful to stick in the wallet anyway)Thanks for any advice. Teamedup
My sons have these cards with La Poste and they work fine. I have no idea as to what withdrawal limits there are on them though, as they never have that much money it has never been an issue.
Jonzjob
Is it worth opening an account with La Poste? We have heard some not very complimentary stories about them, but are interested in the tax free savings account they do, 'Liveret A'. After all we might just as well make our £5 note earn for us in our old age... And do you know if you could get a 24/24 card with only a savings account? The same question goes for Caisse D'Epargne? Although that wouldn't cover the card...John (totally confused by money thingies)
Juswundrin
Thanks for the info Teamedup (not too bothered about limits, it'd just be useful to get some beer money out of hours!).Jon, I can't get at the leaflet right now, but I think the 24/24 was in the current account section only. Generally (only 6 months experience with them so far) we chose them because they're cheap and convenient, and we've had no problems to date ... money goes in ... money goes out ... that's basically all we expect/want them to do!
