maxsan
Due to various reasons we still hold some Uk bank accounts. One of the main ones being that some pension providers simply will not pay into "foreign" bank accounts. I know that you can change credit card details to french addresses without any problems, but is it also possible to change bank account details to french adresses, or is prohibited under Uk banking regulations. Lachouette
We live in France permanently and still hold accounts with the Nationwide BS. It's no problem for them to send statements etc to us but they did tell us we wouldn't be able to open any further and/or different accounts with them. We put this to the test by trying to apply for a Nationwide credit card, and we fell at the first hurdle because we had an address outside the UK.Jan
Val_2
Its no problem to get your UK accounts changed to your french address for all correspondence HOWEVER if you live in France as a permanent resident (more than 180days per year) certain accounts have to be changed to non-resident accounts and you will find the interest a lot lower believe me.
