joidevie
Hi ..I'm currently filling out a "H1" Impots Locaux form and am wondering which box to tick - residence 'principale' or 'secondaire' ? I'm based & registered for tax in the UK and the property in France is more 'part time' than the one in the UK. However it is my 'only' property in France. Will 'principale' or 'secondaire' make any difference to the calculation of the 'impots' ?Many thanks.
Clair
From your description, it is a résidence secondaire.
Val_2
Yes.You are not registered to pay tax in France only UK and spend more than 180 days there in a year so maison secondaire.

AnOther
Aren't you asked to declare this to the Notaire when purchasing, we were ?
joidevie
.. Long story, but it's a barn conversion which has I have just completed over 3 years.. So when it was first bought, I would have been living in a 'garage' !
