Fumanzoku
Does La Poste charge to receive a wire deposit from a foreign bank account in your name and in Euros? The website seems to say it's doesn't charge if it's in Euros and from your own account but I'm not certain as there is no section specific to wiring money in. Lizzie15
I haven't been charged yet for a euro transfer from my Uk bank to the La Poste account, whenever I transfer money to a CA account there is a charge.
Ron Avery
No charge either end Liz, sounds good. But what exchange rate do you get for your euros or do you have a euro account in the UK? If you are getting the bank's exchange rate, currently around 1.47€ to a £ then that is good. BUT if your UK bank only gives you the € tourist rate, this can cost more than a fixed charge depending of course on how much you are transferring. Logan
You will always receive the current bank rate of the day with interbank transfers, not the tourist rates. I have never been charged to receive a euro credit transfer by La Poste. It's the forwarding bank that usually imposes a charge.
