Lollie
My husband has a visa debit card from CA. He travels alot and books his flights on line, but whenever he clicks as payment by visa debit card it refuses transaction until he clicks visa credit card when he can continue at a larger charge! Ryanair insists its the banks fault and the bank insist it is a debit card only, anyone else having the same problem or have any answers??Lollie
Teamedup
This drives me mad. I can't remember which airline reimbursed me the difference between the debit card and credit card charges. When I complained about it.And my bank says that ours is a debit card too. (I have never used Ryan Air using our french card, in fact we have only used Ryan Air once and that was quite a few years ago.)I think that really this is up to Ryan Air and the way they get their accounts people to put these things through. It isn't our own banks that install their systems is it! They are just getting extra money out of you.

booboo
The problem is with Ryanair's payment system. This used to be the same with easyjet, but now since a couple of months, they accept 'carte bleue' payments so are counted as debit cards and no longer credit cards. It's definately not the banks fault!
