Tax D'Habitation for 2006

Just received my  Tax D'Habitation for 2006 [:(]  including TV licence

The date it as to be paid by is November 15th .

Before it was January for payment.

Just check the date on yours when it comes so not to be late paying it.

Just had a look at my last two (2004 and 2005) and they were both due by 15th November.

Don't forget that you can pay them on-line and I think you get an extra 5 days (check your bill). Also, if you want to pay tax d'hab and/or tax foncieres monthly in advance (!) of next years bill you have to apply during December.

Ditto, zeb.  I was offered the direct debit facility automatically this time too, just had to send a RIB with this year's payment.

Before, both taxes had to be paid by 15th October.  Then habitation went to 15th November.  They had become so expensive, people couldn't pay both the same month.  It was about this time they started offering monthly payments.

A couple of years ago, habitation became due on 15th December, depending where you lived in the town.

Never had them as late as January though. 

January is the water bill.....[:(][:(][:'(]

I think they send all the bills out in winter just to brighten the shorter days.  Not. [:)]

With impot forms now sent out later and with many (most ?) householders

payment amounts somewhat dependant on their income,  taxe Hab most

likely had to be put back to suit the time schedules. Never, ever known

Habitation to be paid for by January.
