opas
We are looking at going offshore with our funds and have an application form which we are going through, we are at the point where the Exhange of Information and it states we must put in our TIN no. I am aware they are after a no relating to Tax, have looked at my French Tax form, there are so many reference numbers on there but none relate to a TIN. We have phoned the "helpline" who cannot give us any guidance as to what this no looks like, ie 3 letters 6 numbers and 4 letters. Can anyone tell me what this no is , Is it the FIP no on my french tax form?any help apreciated. Benjamin
So long as you are opting for disclosure of gross interest earned to your tax country i e France, then it should be Votre numero fiscal which in my case takes the format XX ZZ YYY AAA BBB.Benjamin
samdebretagne
Was last year your first time filing in France? Because my first year, my tax return only listed the FIP # (which is not the same as the TIN) - subsequent years however, my TIN was listed. I ended up stopping by the tax office and they wrote it on a post-it for me.
