Antony Palfrey
What is the cheapest way of transferring funds from UK to France? I have a Credit Agricole account and usually post a sterling check to them. They then charge around 30 euros. The amounts are normally around £2000.00 each time. I know currency dealers do not charge for amounts over £5000.00.
Cassis
Antony, you just need to do a search for "fx" or "transfer" in the box at the top right of the page. There is no simple, single answer - all rates vary and are often negotiable - but if you do a search you'll find umpteen threads where people give their preferred FX dealers or banks for regular transfers, lump sums, etc.
Bean
Hi Anthony,My daughter works for a company called Halo Financial who specialise in currency transfers and I used them for my property purchase. Her name is Alex and her number is 020 7350 5474. They really do offer excellent rates and will transfer amounts as low as £1000.Thanks and I hope this helps.
