Angie Posted December 12, 2008 Share Posted December 12, 2008 Hi All,Can anyone advise - is it really that difficult to install a woodburning stove? We have had several quotes (all by French companies) for a fairly simple installation - flue going straight through a brick wall going up outside the house (single story property) with an estimate that it will take just one day. The cheapest quote we have received is £1,000 even though we are supplying the fire, the flue and associated fixings. We know that the advice is, as always, to get a professional to install but is it really prohibitively expensive for us. From a safety point of view what are the problems?
