hayoon
We have a house in France with a mortgage with UCB. Have just enquiried about changing to interest only or any better mortgage deals with them, but neither of their responses are of any use to us, any advice on who we could change to? Chancer
My advice would be not to contemplate changing unless you can swallow an early redemption from your existing borrower and paying once again the frais de notaire for the hypotheque totalling possibly up to 6% of the loan values. Owens88
See this threadhttp://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1515764/ShowPost.aspx I think that the French system is effectively skewed against 'remortgaging'. John
hayoon
Thanks for the reply, we have just heard that we will not be charged an early redemption fee so that is one piece of positive news, need to start to cost out other options now.
