SC
Having read previous posts I know that a normal UK state pension can be paid direct to a French bank at the interbank exchange rate without incurring bank charges.I know that the NHS will also transfer pension payments to France, but have been unable to find any information on the exchange rate or costs incurred. Can anyone help please?Lastly - the small print of the specialist currency transfer companies guarantees that their exchange rates will not exceed the interbank rate by more than 3%. Can anyone who uses their services tell me if the exchange rate they use for regular payments (under 1000€) is usually closer to the interbank rate than 3%, or is just under 3% the norm? If anyone wants to to provide me with a few dates/rates (not amounts) I'll make the comparison and post the results in case anyone else is interestedThanks in advance,Steve
