woody2122
Is it a difficult process for a notaire to do the paper work on the sale of a house in france when the owner of the house is still paying a mortgage on it, I know its normall in the uk for the soliciters to deal with these things but what about in france
cooperlola
We bought our house from a French couple who had an outstanding mortgage, and yes, the notaire dealth with it happily. I remember the discussion when we all signed the final deal and the notaire went through all the finances with them, in front of us (how much of the balance went to the bank, how much to them etc) and he even handed over the cheque to them while we were there. Don't know if this helps?
