Bank Statement Entry

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have today received a Bank Statement from Credit Agricole and there is an entry which I do not understand - its quotes "PRVL COTIS CSCA PERFORMANCE ECF DU 02/02".  I am guessing that this is some for of Direct Debit - but I have only set these up for EDF and SAUR which are both marked as such.

Any ideas what this charge is?

Many thanks

Paul.

Thank you - that would make sense as we had been given 6 months free of any charges when we opened the account back in October 2007.

The amout is rather odd as 10,17 - is is normal to not be a whole round number such as 10 euro's?

Thanks again

Paul.

Seems steep to me but, then, it does depend on how many credit or debit cards you hold, whether you subscribe to the bank mag (full of adverts for insurances), etc. etc.  If in doubt, call at your branch and get someone to give you a breakdown of the charges.  That way, at least you would know exactly what you are paying for.

They always try and sell you a "value-added" account.  Depends what you want from your bank and, more importantly, what you are prepared to pay.

This may help:

OK, it's from CA Normandy - but it tells you what all the fees are.

Comparing different CA areas doesn't work, they all seem to do their own thing. That is what is so infuriating when a CA discussion starts on the forum. Everyone quotes their own area's conditions and charges and they are all mostly different.

Paul - CSCA is Compte Service Credit Agricole. Performance is the type of account you've chosen.

If you go to Google.fr and type in "Credit Agricole" + the name of the CA region shown on your cheque-book/statement, you should come up with a pdf of the bank's services including what's included in a CSCA Performance account.

Hope that helps
