Ysatis
Hello everyone, Currently we own a building plot with barn and pigsheds which has two parcel numbers and receive one tax foncière bill. We are in the process of buying the house and small garden next door, with another (obviously) parcel number. This will make a sort of triangle shape of property and land, with us effectively owning three'ish of the boundaries. My question is: will the authorities make the calculations for the tax foncière and tax d'habitation on the entire property once we have completed the sale? One bill for each tax. Thanks on advance.Ysatis.
mint
YsatisJust the one bill. We also bought land that was drawn up specially for us and our land includes 3 or 4 parcelles.
Ron Avery
Certainly the case for land s17 but was not sure with the house being purchased, that may mean separate bills still.
Ysatis
Thank you both for your replies. Incidently, the house is attached to our barn, and our and their pigsheds are back to back, and the land almost completely goes round the collection of buildings. As it's not detached I was hoping just for two bills, purely for ease of paying. Not that it's a big deal if it's more. I'll shall wait and see.Ysatis. George
Not sure if this will be of any help, but we have 2 houses on 3 parcles of land - it may be the way it was registered, not too sure and there may be advantages for planning apps calculated separately - either way, for the last 5 years we have received one Fonciere and two d'Habitation bills.Would like to know if this is a good or bad thing and if it can ever be changed anyway? lmc
Tax foncière bills accumulate the property owned in one commune so you could own 80 properties in the same village and you will still only get one bill.Lisa
