cherries
HiNot too sure which category this query comes into but we need to send some furniture (just 3 pieces) which are quite bulky to our house in the Vendee. Does anyone know the best and cheapest way of doing this ?
nectarine
Try www.loadup.co.uk and post a message on their site. You just say what you want taken, and when, and the truckers who look on the site respond to you with details of spaces in their van. Always much cheaper than booking a specific delivery as many companies don't have enough freight on their vans and therefore offer good prices if you have a part-load. You often have to work around their schedules but it is always cheaper.
Pierre
Do not move all your furnitures in France, rather than going to a cheap Swedish furniture shop, you better go to the local antique markets (brocantes) where you will find treasures. You can also visit "antiquaire" shops but be careful because sometimes they will sell you antiques which are just a few month old. Buying French antiques will give you the chance to decorate you French house with style!
