Russethouse
Too low !Please remember, it is one thing to attack an argument or stance, quite another to attack the forum member. There is also a report button for complaints.

Cat
Hmmm. See here.
Hmmm. There's something not quite right about that story. They're saying the forum was shut down today, and if you go to the site in question http://www.ukfilmforum.co.uk/ there's a message saying that the forum will re-launch in March. But if you compare today's site with the cached version of 26th August, they're almost exactly the same, with the same message about re-launch in March. So the forum wasn't shut down today, it's been dormant for over a week. Still thread pulled on dormant forum doesn't have quite the same punch, does it? Kitty
DickWhat a wonderfully funny site (newsbiscuit.com) - my favourite was the article about judges going to wear other headgear.

The Riff-Raff Element
You know, that chap in the glasses on News Biscuit looks VERY familiar. In fact, I'm sure I've been drinking with him in the not so distant past...

PaulT
Well done Dick - very amusing.Perhaps what the forum requires is an abuse section where members can go and abuse one another - I can think of a few who would eagerly use it [:D]Paul
Patf
Back to the original topic - I saw on a news programme today that the euro has taken a big drop ? against the yen? for the first time for ages. Is this likely to have any effect on the sterling exchange rate?
mint
PatfAs I write, it's at 1.2356 as opposed to 1.2300 this morning. Don't know that you can draw any conclusions from this though!
