andyh4
You may be too late.I seem to remember that the old currencies would be valid for a limited period of time post introduction of the Euro. IIRC in France this would be 10 years - or to put it more plainly, the OH may have missed the boatr by 13 days!
suein56
You may be too late.
I don't think so; the euro notes and coins were only introduced in January 2002 and, I believe, can be exchanged for up to 20 years at the Banque de France.Edit: sorry it is 10 years - see here. so February 2012.Sue
Cat
French franc notes, that were still in circulation when replaced by the Euro, are exchangeable at the bank until 17th February 2012. I take it that it is this type you have, not really, really old ones?
nectarine
yes, they are the pre-euro ones.

giantpanda
Hi!Here you will find the limit dates for the different still valid Franc notes.http://www.service-public.fr/actualites/00453.htmlNow there are single shops in some towns who still take old franc notes.I do not know how they do this, but I think they do not check the notes you give them individually.Normally an Office du Tourisme should have that informationYours, giantpanda
