Chancer
I today got back the £250 that I had lost with Speedferries, after a bad start last November when the call centre told me point blank that I could not claim against my debit card using Visa chargeback, refusing to put me through to the disputes section and refusing to give me the supervisors name who was making te decisions but would not talk to me, I got throughto the disputes team last week without a problem. The lady was very helpfull, I was able to cut and paste the info needed using their messaging service and in less than a week the money was back in my account.Excellent service but communication a bit off as there was no notification and no replys to my messages asking if they had receieved the info.I disputed a cash card withdrawal a few years ago and never heard any more, I sent mesages that were unanswered, I tried calling without ever getting any sense out of them and finally after 9 months went into the branch, the girl there had a suspicioun and lo and behold the money had been (re)creditted to the account retrospectively on the day it was erroneously withdrawn without any notification.I still love you though NW and don't know what I would do without your free overseas services. bubbles
here here.we disputed an "extra" cash withdrawal last year while we were abroad. there was no way we could have proved that we hadn't actually withdrawn that extra 300 euros so we were really quite concerned.however, nationwide refunded the amount to our account (pending investigation)we never heard any more but the amount stayed in our account. Chancer
The funny thing was a long time later I recalled that I may have actually made the withdrawal to pay my ski monitor, I made the claim in all good faith as I had kept (what I thought was) all my cashcard receipts and I had one that day for 40 euros which never showed on the account, the debitted amount was a lot higher but crucially did not equate to any multiple of 5 or 10 euro withdrawal at the then exchange rate.I reckon that I may have inadvertantly picked up the previous person's receipt by mistake. If I did come out on top it would be nice to know!
