joidevie
Does anyone have any good information on which French banks could be trusted with the proceeds of a house sale? What sort of interest rates could one expect, with either 1 - 3 month's notice? My current account is with Credit Agricole..Many thanks in advance.. Sunday Driver
What makes you imagine that any of the French banks could not be trusted with the proceeds of your house sale?I bank with Credit Agricole too and they've never done anything remotely untrustworthy with my money.....[;-)]
Tony F Dordogne
Me too and nothing untoward with our CA accounts either, not any sign of the bank being unstable.

I was merely trying to guage the 'health' of the banks (ie. not collapsing with a large sum of my money.) I have never questioned the honesty and accuracy of the CA..Thanks for the replies.. lacote0_0
If you want to be cautious then look at the Moody's and S & P ratings for individual banks, and then spread your money around without going over the deposit protection limit (70,000 euros) with any of them.
