lancashirelass11
Hi thereJust reviewing my Barclays France account charges this year, and wondering if I would be better off moving to another bank - but which one?We have a house in 33 which we use 5-6 weeks a year at most. Only monthly expenditure from the account is a DD to EDF and the monthly account fee of 9 euro. Periodically, automated debits come out for the water rates and tax fonciere\habitation, plus we use our carte bleu for shopping etc when we are in France.Am I getting a deal that is fairly standard across FRance, or could I get a cheaper account elsewhere. Would need to be accessible by internet and have an english speaking account manager.thankslouise
Clair
My account is with CA and the only cost is an annual fee of €37 for a MasterCard. This works out at €3.08 per month.
The Ps
I agree, CA are brilliant; at least here in the Languedoc. I don't know the charges and my finance director is baking hot cross buns at the moment (and my six sisters thought they had beaten any sexism out of me long ago!) confused of chalus
CA are very accessible - and when we needed help with technical question on insurance a lovely English girl came down from Limoges to sort us out! She was part of the bi-lingual team.
