Do I still need to fill the form of I no longer live and work in France?

Hi All,

I lived and worked in France in 2007 from Jan - July. I filled out the form last year and paid my tax and that was all fine.

However, they've sent me the Declaration Preremplie and Declaration Complementaire - I left my job and rented accommodation in France in July 2007 and had / have no property or income in France at all during 2008. I'm not sure whether I will still need to fill any of these in or whether a letter declaring this to the CDI Non-residents will suffice?

Hope someone can help me.

Many thanks in advance,

C

Hi,

I have a friend who was sent a declaration for 4 years after leaving France---once you're on that computer it's not easy to get off. I suggest you don't complete the forms but  write to them quoting your tax references and saying that you left France permanently in July 2007 and have no assets declarable in France for 2008. Don't be surprised if you get another form next year, though.
