Esot
Hi, I've recently recieved a couple of checks for doing some temp work in France. The cheques are for Credit Agricole and Banque Populaire. Now I don't have a French bank account or a French address, is it possible to cash these cheques into directly into cash? Or is it possible to have the paid into a non-French bank account? On the cheques it says they are Payable en France and non endossable.Very uninformed on these sorts of things, hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks :)
dave21478
You should be able to pay them into most UK bank accounts. I know for a fact Lloyds and Bank of Scotland will do it.There is a fee to pay, and it takes longer to clear than a UK cheque, but apart from that, no issues.
