mint
Calling Parsnips and all those in the "know" (tried emailing you, Parsnips, but post has been returned).Had a "dispute" with the powers that be last year and they reduced our TH. Settled the reduced amount and thought that was the end of that but, this is France after all, yesterday had a demand for €118 (plus €12 for being late paying!)Got down to the friendly woman at the Trésor who helped me no end to sort things out last year and she tells me that the amount is for the audio visuelle element.I pointed out my husband's age (which they overlooked completely in all their previous calculations) and she assures that the sum is to be paid as long as you pay impôts and is due regardless of your age.Is the above statement factually correct? Of course, if we are due to pay, I'll pay it next week but would just like it confirmed that what she is telling me is right (after all, they have been known to have got things wrong on several occasions in the last year when demanding payments of various sorts!)[8-)]
