Not unlike ours, except it is in the road under a double steel cover. Last time I saw inside it, after I complained that our (ADSL) speed had fallen to 2 Mbps (yes, 2), it had a foot or so of water in it, and the technician waved a loose plastic junction box at me, with trailing wires and dripping with black ooze, saying "Voici le problème". After he had wiped of the slime and hung it a bit higher above the water level my speed went back to around its normal 5 or so, but I still see the regard open from time to time for baling and cleaning out, even though it is now used for the fibre network, as above ground services are not allowed in our manor. I escaped the clutches of Orange by using a 4G router, which gives us a reliable download speed averaging about 30 Mbps, quite adequate for our needs, for around half the price.
