Lehaut
Did a bike ride from Pornichet along the magnificent promenade that links it to La Baule and then up to Guérande for lunch then back. It was a very low tide yesterday and the local folks were out in force scratching in the mud for their lunch. It is a regular occurrence, but I am amazed there is anything left to find. We saw locals with half full panniers going home to cook out the fruits of their labours. Its not without its risks, three people were caught out by the same tide further down the coast and died. https://www.ouest-france.fr/nouvelle-aquitaine/charente-maritime/trois-personnes-dont-deux-pecheurs-a-pied-sont-morts-sur-des-plages-de-charente-maritime-0cb36fd8-7717-11ef-af8b-aac5361e868f (€)
anotherbanana
Were the gendarmes there measuring the size of the ‘catch’? If too small back it goes and a fine might be issued.
