Lehaut
If there is one thing that annoys me its the introduction of rules, then no one enforces them. From July to September this year, on local TER trains, you had to book in advance a place for a bicycle. Not an easy task to accomplish on a phone as the site does not work properly. We cycled to Clisson last week, having booked our bikes back on the train (1€ each) and a train ticket. After manhandling our bikes over a two storey bridge onto the right platform we duly got on the train. There were FOUR controllers in the same carriage, who got out of our way whilst we got the bikes on and strapped in. Not one checked neither our bike reservation, nor our ticket. Neither did they walk down the train to check any of the dozen or so passengers who got on at Clisson. It was not a peak hour service. They just stayed in their huddle talking and cracking jokes. Rant over.
