Renewal of french photo card driving license

I have a 5 year french driving licence which expires in January 2025. The reason its a 5 year one is because when I first applied back in the days when you visited your prefecture I was given all these categories I dont need & don't want.( I didn't realise at the time being green behind the ears) I'm concerned that now I'm 70 these categories are going to cause problems re: needing a medical?. Or worse..losing my licence.  How do I change the licence to a category B only..when I apply for this renewal? I can't find the answer online anywhere.  Anyone else been in this position or has an answer. TiA

As there have been no replies I will try to help you, despite you not stating what class of licence entitlement you already have. 

If you just have a "B" licence (car), that covers quite a range of vehicles, for non -professional use for which no medical is required at age 70 unless you have medical or vision problems.
