Assurance Vie rachat

We have been trying and failing miserably to make a withdrawal from our Assurance Vie. Our financial advisor died and the business ceased to function so we have been dealing directly with AG2R LA MONDIALE. They have not been helpful but simply sent a 14 page withdrawal form full of technical legal-speak.

Has anyone else had the same problem and if so, how did they resolve it?

We did a "rachat" from our AV some years ago from Credit Agricole.  Just went to our bank and signed the paperwork in the office - usually the easiest way.
