frexpt
I can't find any recent references to what seems to be an old chestnut. We are planning to have the rendered walls of our 1960's pavillon sous-sol repainted, hopefully in the autumn, but maybe next spring. We are getting quotes from both French and expat tradesmen and are leaning towards the local artisans even though the exercise might be more expensive. We are being told by the Brit quoter that Dulux Weathershield is perfectly okay for exterior use in France, but I have always thought that British paint didn't provide sufficient UV protection for use over here. I know that there is Standard Weathershield and Trade Weathershield but are there any thoughts on this dilemma ? Many thanks

One is English one is French. But for best Tollens paint you have to go to the top end of the price range. If I were to paint exterior I would use Mylands exterior paint. And they have beautiful colors to choose from. But tollens would be OK though. Go bold. Mylands is by far the best paint on this planet. Looks expensive, but it is not.

Mylands is a new one on me, but I will look into it, thanks
