DaveLister
The linked Politico story is worth a read as well. 830,00 euros lost due to the cancellation of non refundable trips abroad. 😲
cajal
I guess the £500,000,000 purported to have been donated to the French govt. by the UK govt. to patrol the beaches for small boat departures, which I am led to believe has not been spent accordingly, should go some way to covering the cost of a few plates of chow and bottles of wine and liquor at the Versailles banquet for the UK King. At the same time, the remaining cash will be more than adequate to cover the funding of all the other hooleys afforded by the Presidential office, with plenty left over to cover the cost for this year happenings.
