ConcernedRelative
An elderly relative of mine (non French Citizen) owns a static holiday caravan in a resort type village. The opposite caravan is the daughter’s (& family) caravan. Her daughter is a French Citizen. During the last visit of my relative, their health deteriorated quickly resulting mainly from de-hydration, malnutrition and a new infection developing in pre-existing sores. Hospitalisation was needed and a recovery made, although at one point it seemed that recovery was unlikely. On previous visits, the daughter has checked on her parent’s needs for food and water, but for whatever reason, this has not happened during this visit. The daughter was resident in her own caravan during the whole time of the visit by the parent. What are the obligations of the daughter, under French law to prevent neglect and ensure a parent remains healthy.
