anotherbanana
The real problem is getting rid of one or more when the fonctionnaires hold the reins. Any ideas? Yet another initiative that will be sunk in the sands of the administrative desert. Pity. https://www.lefigaro.fr/conjoncture/etat-operateurs-collectivites-le-millefeuille-administratif-francais-coute-au-moins-7-5-milliards-d-euros-par-an-20240529
Lehaut
Every time we went through this in the Military, the only thing people could actually concentrate on was the stationary budget. For some reason the higher ups felt they justified their positions by scrutinising the number of staplers issued or sheets of paper used by the copy machine. The big spend items ( usually sighted as more admirals than ships) quickly went on the back burner. No one wanted to upset the civil service as they ultimately held all the power. They are not going to vote to reduce their numbers.
