menthe
Well then, why don't you change your name to Peter Pan? You should teach all the little ALBFs to call you Papa Peter Pan....has a certain ring to it, no?
norbert
Half a million euros is a lot of money, what income do you need to have that kinda mortgage?
Noisette
Well for a start, you'd deduct the capital from the previous house sale. Mrs ALBF is in banking, isn't she? I'm sure she'll be able to house ALBF in the manner to which he's become accustomed 😁

I very much doubt many people would have gone through what we have done over the last 25 years in terms of hard work. And we started life in France with student debts living in a 15 sq metre flat in Paris. . Not selling a house in the UK and buying your way into a lifestyle. We worked for it. Lets be very clear Mr & Mrs ALBF….are no snowflakes. We have the scars to prove it. And we are not finished yet. Never stand still is my motto in life. Riggers
I’m sure a lot of the people selling houses in the UK would have worked hard to pay for them initially

When I left uni in 90’s getting on the property ladder was a pipe dream in the UK. Especially with 8k student debts. Today….I guess it is a lot worse and you are tied to a mortgage debt for the rest of your life. The same in France….but you have to work a lot harder. Salaries are not the same as the UK. Swings and roundabouts. My mums 3 bed bungalow in the UK is worth more than my chateaux in France. Very easy to sell a house in the UK…pay off your mortgage….and buy bigger house in France. But now….you have to earn a living. Edited February 1 by alittlebitfrench

No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began. It had a beautiful deep red throat but couldn't capture that on a photo 🙂
