CeeJay
I am about to send off Form P85 to my HMRC Office in UK with the date of 1st October for leaving the UK. I have already been to the local Impots to change the address to which the local taxes facture need to be sent here in France.Am I right in thinking that I do nothing else until next year and then request a form from the Impots to make a first declaration? Sunday Driver
Correct. The 2011 tax forms will be available for collection or download as from late April. You will also need a form France Individual to hand in with your first tax declaration so that your tax office can certify to HMRC that you are now a French taxpayer. You can download the form through the HMRC website.
CeeJay
Thanks once again SD for invaluable information. I confess I have never heard of this form but have now found it on the HMRC website.
