martyng
Am I right in thinking (attempting to translate the notes) that for installation of new doors and windows (double glazed) I include the cost of installation (pose) as well as the cost of materials. Unlike the woodburner which went in last FY when only the cost of materials was eligible.Sunday Driver would know this one?
Gardener
Yes and the TVA. But if you had it done in 2010 you can now only claim 15% back not 25 or 40% as I had been hoping for!
Cranachan8
No, you can't claim for the cost of the installation of windows / doors. The booklet you would have received with your tax return form says that you can only include installation costs for insulation of your roof and walls. Anything else is materials only. We've had to ask the company who supplied and fitted our windows and shutters, in February last year, for a breakdown of their invoice to show cost of materials and cost of labour. I would love someone to tell me that I am wrong!!!!!!

Materials only.Your supplier should be totally accustomed to providing an invoice breaking down materials & labour. As a rough rule of thumb, 80%/20% would be about right.
