Henry100
Just a quick shared bit of fame from me, I was about 6yrs old and i was to have my "BIG BIG" break into the world of Acting, Yes the evening of practice we're few for me and my fellow other two future stars, The teacher a Miss Yoko said we all three we're natural actors "As we picked our acting efforts up very quickly , The Evening arrived (As did my granny complete with tissue) She sat in the front "Hard school seats" and all us kids we're put into place and order of who would go on stage first etc; Myself and my two class mates had to go to make-up first and after our costume fitting we we're Ushered out to our place of future Fame (and this was in the Dark) We stood facing the complete full hall of Mum's & Dad's Grannies and anyone who could fill a seat, And then Miss YOKO, took her place hidden to the side of the huge stage we're she was to read the story, And we stood waiting to be told it was out time to do all that practice work for all to see, Miss YOKO Yelled out "No room at the INN " And this was our time to act" I had a green "T" shirt with a paper cut color that was to be a leaf shape, my neck was painted Green and my face a mushroom shade and around my head was a tiara of Yellow Petals, and to finish we all had to keep are hands down our sides and sway from right to left in "ZINC" As Mary and the DONKEY came across the stage to the stable block, Well our timing went out of the window as one kid saw his Mum and stopped going from side to side while he waved, A crash of heads from both sides had him in tears in no time, Miss Yoko (the first Aid pro) was called for while she was in mid sentence about knocking on the stable door, The Mum came rushing to her son who carried could not see, the other kids did not know what the hell to do and so the curtain was quickly pulled across the stage with half the kids on the wrong side, The kids mum started to argue with Miss Yoko about who ever saw Daffodils at Christmas anyway ?? And me Granny thought i was the star of the show, As she wiped tears of laughter away from her eyes, And I never got that calling from Coronation street after all.
