ZoeandJustin
Hi there! We are a couple looking to purchase a 2 -3 bed property in France [preferably Aquitaine but would consider other regions] with a fishing lake of at least 3000sqm and at least 2 acres of land. Our dream is to run a sustainable carp fishing and camping business in France and live as self sufficiently as possible. Our budget is 200,000EUR. The property must have power and water and be in liveable condition. Just popping a note out here as would be open to doing an off-market sale. if the right opportunity arose, if you have something or know iof something that might fit our requirements please share here. Thank you for reading 🙂
alittlebitfrench
Your budget is not enough for a 2/3 bed house anywhere worth living in France to be fair. I'm not sure buying a fishing lake is a good idea. You will just buy youself a very big headache. So yeah, forget all this nonsense.
Hectorsdad
Don’t be put off by extreme, negative comments that you may receive. You need to use all the sources of property for sale that are available including standard estate agents. If you know Aquitaine well, you probably have some feel for a particular area that is popular with the angling community. Don’t forget that buying fairly close to an airport, main line station and autoroute would help pick up trade from UK anglers as well as make your lives easier. If you find an established business make sure you look carefully at their recent financial records.
menthe
Please do not imagine that this is a negative reply. Am I allowed to say that the area you want is calle NOUVELLE Aquitaine or NOA for short to the French. If you knew the right name, it might help your search. Good Luck! I don't know about fishing lakes directly so have no useful comments about how viable or otherwise they might be.
