Tirvine
Hi All,Counting down now to the two short weeks we will have at the house for summer, we'll be there from 25th July to the 7th August and I'm hoping to tear hubby away from the renovations long enough to do a bit of market hopping!Does anyone know of any antique/bric-a-brac markets on in Western France during this period? We are based in Cognac but I don't mind a bit of a drive for a decent day out As we now (at last!) have a roof I can start collecting little treasures! Thanks for any tips - enjoy the summer!Tris
Pushkin
Go to the Brocante Mag site www.lechineur.fr then click on agenda and it will give details for the period you are talking about. They are great fun and there are lots and lots on at this time of the year.Sue
Krin
Hi TrisBeen off line for a bit, but back now. Can you tear hubby away for a BBQ and bottle of wine sometime? If there is a Brocante near us (Poursac, Charente) maybe we could combine the two.Glad your roof is sorted. Get's kinda wet without one, although the stars are stunning.Krin
Pgh13
www.pointsdechine.com seems to have quite a good calendar section. There's also a discussion forum with a quite lively exchange decrying those brocantes which chrge for admission
