Ajr
My parents are currently 'trying' a 3 month stay in our new holiday home in France with a view to a permanent move. They are an active couple in their 60's and are looking to join in some local events (my Mom enjoys line-dancing) and Dad enjoys any excuse for a drink etc.Anyone know of anything to welcome them and join in? Biereventre
I don't know of anything in particular that may interest them but if they ask at the local Mairie I'm sure they will point them in the right direction. There are some good French lessons at the APP in Montmorillon, which we found a good way to make some friends and find out what was going on.Bastille Day this Wednesday. Always a good excuse for a drink or three.Basically it's just mingle, integrate, network or whatever they call it these days. They'll soon find out what's going on. I know of a very talented English artist who has an exhibition at the tourist office in St Savin for the first 2 weeks of August Maybe they'd like to come along for the inauguration?
