Gardener
With the Taxe d'hab your revenu does have a bearing on the calculations. Mine is always higher than the foncieres
NormanH
No they aren't...but they can be.Sounds daft but that is how I have found it.

NormanH
My habitation is quite a bit less, but the TV part bumped it up to about the same until I realised I don't have to pay it, as I only have my computer monitor to watch TV.
cooperlola
Both mine are as near as d*mmit 400€ each but the TdH includes the TV and we have no separate rubbish collection bill as I think some people may get?
NormanH
Yes cooperlola you are right about that.In one place I had the rubbish cost more than the Habitation and was on top...
Hoddy
Ours are substantially different. Taxe Foncieres E503 and Habitation E187.We don't have a rubbish collection service or a television though.Hoddy
Gardengirl
Our rubbish collection cost is also on top of taxe d'habitation; haven't got last year's bill to hand, and haven't received this year's, but it was quite a lot more - more than double, and we opted out of TV payment, as we don't have one. Rubbish collection is also high, but we have 3 collections weekly.
meiklejohn
As I thought. Varying answers. Our TdF was just under 400 Euro so hopefully the TdH won't be much more

Chancer
The not so average average property! The following table shows the rates payable for an ‘average’ household, ie in this case a couple with two children living in a property with a local rateable value equivalent to 1.5 times the average for the commune. The table also shows the percentage increase in the taxes for each town this year.
