zeb
A reclamation yard has recently opened in beautiful old mill premises at Confolens (16). It's on the Angoulem road out of Confolens before you get to Anzac. They sell shutters, stone, beams and floor boards, some old furniture, old rolltop baths, fireplaces, carts, windows and doors etc. They open six days and do not shut for lunch!!regards........helenPS This business is nothing to do with me - I wish it were! robkat
We live just north of St JeanD'Angely so it is not too far for us. Do we need any more specific instructions to find it, presumably it is closed on Sundays? Thanks for info - just what we are looking forRobkat
Butchx5
HiAlso the yard (Run by Brits - (no possible language probs!) Terry the boss and Dennis helps out) will quote to take down or buy up any of your unwanted bits and pieces- you may think its rubbish but it is amazing what they can do with them! Havent actually done business with them but they were supportive when our barn roof came down and have been in touch since then. They have some great stuff at the yard - not just wood/stone but nick nacks too.A point maybe worth noting is they do regular trips to the UK with a flatbed arctic and could perhaps quote to bring large items back for you!Helen
