PeterCD
Have heard that there maybe water restrictions imposed in the Charente Maritime very soon which may affect filling of pools, etc. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks......
Chas
Local paper had a big article a few days ago, forecasting gloom and doom. Apparently it has been the driest winter since 1948. Although bans are considered possible, particularly if there is not a significant amount of rain in April, we are at the moment being urged to be public spirited and limit none essential use. zeb
Restrictions came into force (hose pipe bans, filling and topping up pools, watering flower gardens, etc) in the Charente Maritime yesterday (Friday 24th March) at 8am.The local paper reported that the prefecture of the Charente met yesterday and will probably impose restrictions here from 1st April. They said that if your car needs washing, let your conscience guide you!!Looks like your swimming pools may fill up naturally over the weekend though! Lots of rain and storms forecast.
