Gunner
Can anyone help me in finding somewhere to play snooker in or around Saintes (Dept 17). I can't ever remember seeing a snooker table anywhere in France even though we often play pool which is obviously very popular.
Anton Redman
It is played, link below is to Acquitaine Billiards Ligue which has a snooker section. Search on snooker and then have a look at some of the postings. The snookerffb seems to be impossible to enter. Some of the sports centres have tables and balls. We were in Bordeaux for an exhibition last autumn and they had tables and converiable dinning tables with pockets and pocket cushions so that you could play snooker, pool, English or Belgium billiards Be interested to know how you get on. I have a kitchen to build before I am allowed time off to waste my old age.I would be inttesrested to know how you get on. http://www.ligaquitaine-billard.org/download.php?dcategory=Snooker&sortby= http://www.snookerffb.com/ http://www.ffbillard.org/ccueilrlk.asp?iResolutionEcran=1024 http://www.snooker.fr/
Gunner
Thanks for your reply Anton. I will let you know how I get on but I have just bought an English pool table to put in our spare room (garage !) so it might take a bit longer to get round to the snooker now. Suze01
Hi,It may be a little too far from you, but there is a new 'Snook Bowl Palace' opened in Périgueux at Tréllisac on the eastern side of town. It has ten bowling lanes and I suppose about 25 tables for pool and snooker.
