leedstyke
Browd ?Actually I have a good real-life example of Welsh friendliness, wit an repartee. We (Tykes) had just beat Pontypridd (or however you spell it) in a cup game with 3 tries in the last 5 minutes. In the pub near the Headingley ground after the game I walked past a group of their supporters on the way for a leek (sorry leak). Conversation went something like this - Me (affable Yorkshire sports supporter) - Good Game Boys Them - errrrruuuuughpaaaapossibly this loses something in translation from the Gallic, but I think I got the gist.THERE WILL BE A WELCOME IN THE HILLSIDES SORT OF THING.By the way when I asked why you are all in France I just realised (Pays De Galles). You are all French in sheeps clothing.Anyway what are you doing on my thread if not a musician.NOTE THAT Dave started all this - lit the blue touch paper and ******** off. leedstyke
Hi Twink.Just noticed onprofile that you are a singer. Tell me more.Do you work in France. If so tell me about complications - e.g. Tax, declaring music or whatever.Do you have an agent. How do you get gigs.Do you sing in Welsh and that sort of thing.
TWINKLE
Yes I work in France, on average I've done 60 gigs a year since 1989. I am intermittent du spectacle (look it up please - it's too complicated to explain here).I have 3 different bands - I do everything jazz, pop, rock, soul, R&B, funk, gospel - I'm Welsh you see[;-)]It ain't easy but if you're good you can earn a living.By the way I DO NOT sing out of tune!!!! Count yourself lucky that's all they did those boys from Ponty[:-))]
