charnizay
Does anyone know how I can find my "numero fiscale"? I need it to pay my fonciere and tv licence online and I have no references with me.
cooperlola
Without access to any tax returns etc, then the only thing I can suggest off the top of my head is phoning your local office. You can't pay on line without the statement anyway, since you need your online reference also and that too is on your tax return! Once you find them both though, you can set up a key so that your online account is always available from your computer.
Sunday Driver
You don't need tax returns or an on-line account as your numero fiscal (and the reference de l'avis) are shown on your property tax bills. These are all you require to pay the bills online.
cooperlola
But Charnizay has no references with him/her so cannot see either (or that is how I read the post, but maybe I misunderstood - perhaps by "no reference" s/he didn't refer to the bills as I thought.) Gardengirl
Not online charnizay, but I've just spoken to a very helpful person at the tax office.I rang our local office in France this morning, as our taxe d'habitation bill hadn't arrived in UK. I had to email a neighbour for the phone number, as all paperwork is in France (we were meant to be there too, but flu intervened!). I got through straightaway, a very helpful woman found the account from our surname and told me the bill had been sent to UK as normal. When I said I wanted to pay by cheque now she said not to worry about the reference number and she'd look out for the enveope with cheque and covering letter in reception from a couple of days time. I was delighted! This non-arrival of the bill has decided me to pay by direct debit; we already do for taxe foncière, and it was only sloth that had stopped us having it set up for both!
